Industrial action involving East End Homes staff has now reached 40 days, as the ongoing dispute between UNISON members and East End Homes continues.
Today, Thursday 3 September, marks the 40th day of strike action and also the final day of the current consultation period.
To mark the occasion, striking workers and supporters are holding a demonstration and lunchtime “sports picket” outside the East End Homes head office at 3 Resolution Plaza, Aldgate, between 12pm and 2pm.
The action forms part of the continuing dispute concerning proposed changes affecting East End Homes employees, including pension arrangements and employment terms.
The Glamis Residents’ Association is sharing this update because the dispute involves staff providing housing services to residents across East End Homes estates, including Glamis.
We hope that constructive discussions between East End Homes and its employees can lead to a resolution as soon as possible and provide certainty for both staff and residents.
